Bot Not Executing

If a strategy is configured but the bot is not opening or closing positions as expected, work through the following checklist in order.

Check: Go to your exchange account’s API key settings and verify the key has Futures Trading (or Derivatives Trading) permission enabled.

Remedy:

  • Create a new API key with the correct permissions using the guides in API Keys
  • Remove the existing execution wallet in Dashboard > Futures Wallets
  • Re-add it with the new API key credentials

2. No active LP position in the current price range

Check: In Dashboard > Pools View, verify that your LP position is in-range (current price is between the lower and upper bounds). An out-of-range LP position will not trigger hedge activity.

Remedy:

  • Wait for the price to re-enter your LP range, or adjust your LP position on the relevant DEX to re-center around the current price.
  • Review Range Bounds for guidance on range selection.

Check: In Dashboard > Pools View, check whether the strategy shows a Paused state.

Remedy:

  • Use the strategy controls in the dashboard to unpause the strategy.

Check: Verify the exchange is operational by checking its status page.

Remedy:

  • Wait for the exchange to recover. Aegis will retry automatically.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, review the activity log in Dashboard > Analytics for recent error events and contact Aegis support with the relevant details.
